McKeesport, Pa. -- Penn College fell to Penn State Greater Allegheny in a four-set battle on Tuesday night in nonconference women's volleyball action. The Wildcats dropped to 1-6 on the season while the Lions moved to 2-3.
How it happened: Penn State Greater Allegheny earned set victories of 25-19, 25-23 and 25-18. Penn College won set three, 25-22 to extend the match before the Lions closed it out in the fourth.
Inside the box: Nevaeh Ward and
Hailey DeBrody were all over the court as Ward finished with a team-high 14 kills, seven total blocks and nine digs. DeBrody added five kills, a team-best 15 digs and five total blocks.
Kathryn Burnett dished out 24 assists and
Jo Hess posted 13 digs on the night.
