WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College dropped its women's volleyball home opener to King's in straight sets on Tuesday night in Bardo Gym. The Wildcats fell to 2-8 while the Monarchs improved to 8-1.
How it happened: The Wildcats dropped the first set, 25-9 before responding and holding a 23-22 lead in the second set and keeping the match close in the third set before the Monarchs pulled away for a 25-18 win.
Inside the box: Nevaeh Ward continued her team-leading offensive output with nine kills and also posted nine digs.
Lana Howard added six kills and
Ava Harple served up two aces on the evening. Seniors,
Jo Hess and
Hailey DeBrody also finished with double-digit digs with 13 and 10, respectively, after being honored in their Senior Day prior to the match.
