WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Penn College cross-country teams split with Lycoming College in their season openers on Tuesday, the men winning, 17-46, and the women falling, 20-36.
Penn College men: Matthew Woolcock placed first in a time of 21:21, Mitchell Campbell was second in 21:36 and Ethan Knapp was third in 22:07. Also for the Wildcats, Alec Rees was fifth in 22:34 and Chase Ebeling was sixth in 23:09.
Ken Draper led Lycoming with a fourth-place finish in 22:14.
Penn College women: Elaina Brady placed third in 19:34 to lead the Wildcats. Isabella Kerlin was sixth in 20:42, Lillian DePew was seventh in 21:17, Kayleigh Miller was ninth in 23:21 and Adelyn McDermott was 11th in 25:08.
Lycoming's Katryn Yocum led the field in 18:26.
