WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College posted its second draw of the season as the Wildcats tied Elmira College, 0-0 in nonconference women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon. The Wildcats moved to 1-0-2 on the season while Elmira sits 0-1-2.
How it happened: The two sides played an even 45 minutes in the first half with the Wildcats as both teams lined up for one corner kick each and PCT earned a slight edge in shots, 3-1. Penn College forced the Elmira keeper to two saves on four shots and lined up for six corners in the second half, but could not put away the go-ahead-goal in the season home-opener.Â
Inside the box: Nicole Lichtinger extended her school NCAA-era record 15th career shutout with an easy day between the pipes with the Wildcat defense allowing just three shots on the day and not surrendering a single shot on goal.
