BRYN MAWR, Pa. — Penn College outscored first-time foe Rosemont College in every quarter en route to a 79-21 United East women's basketball win Tuesday night. The Wildcats improved to 6-1 in the conference and 9-7 overall. Rosemont fell to 0-7 UE and 0-16 overall.
How it happened: Penn College opened a 20-3 first-quarter lead as
Rachel Teats scored eight of her team-high 16 points when connected twice on 3-point shots and a jumper.
The Wildcats continued to pull away from there, outscoring Rosemont 36-14 in the two middle periods and capping it with a 23-4 fourth-quarter advantage that produced the 58-point victory.
Inside the box: Gigi Parlante led Penn College with eight rebounds.
Keeley Baker came off the bench to score 13 points and grab seven rebounds, while
Lexi Troup added 10 points.
For the game, Penn College shot just under 48% from the floor while limiting Rosemont to 13% shooting. In the paint, the Wildcats outscored their opponent 46-6.
Aniya McDaniel led Rosemont with eight points and Symone Wilson had 10 rebounds.
