WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College won its fifth-straight game with a 64-56 victory over Cedar Crest College in a United East women's basketball game Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 8-1 United East, 11-7 overall, while the Falcons fell to 3-6, 5-7.
How it happened: Following a back-and-forth first quarter, which resulted in a 14-14 deadlock, Penn College opened the second quarter with a 5-0 run to lead 19-14 early in the period. The Wildcats increased their lead to seven, 25-18, on
Gigi Parlante's layup with 4:29 on the clock before the Falcons went on a 7-0 spurt to tie the game at 25 with 2:42 remaining. PCT outscored CCC, 6-2, in the final minutes to lead 31-27 at halftime.
The game was tied for a final time, 34-34, with 5:44 left in the third but Penn College responded with a 10-0 run – led by four points from Parlante – to lead 44-34 with 2:26 on the clock. The Wildcats held a double-digit lead the majority of the remainder of the third.
The Wildcats led by as many as 16, and their advantage never dipped below six, in the fourth.

Emily Pardee paced Penn College with 16 points, grabbed seven boards, and dished out six assists. Parlante recorded her 11
th double-double this season with 15 points and 13 rebounds, while
Rachel Teats added 14 points.
