Logan Pietrzak netted three-straight shots to help Penn College to a 5-1 win over Gallaudet in a United East men's soccer match Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 3-1-2 UE, 8-5-2 overall, while the Bison fell to 1-5, 1-11.
How it happened: After GU took an early 1-0 lead in the 25
th minute, the Wildcats fired in five unanswered goals. Pietrzak tallied the equalizer in the 34
th minute to deadlock the match at the break. He later converted passes from
Robert Antonini, in the 49
th minute, and
Cooper Smith, in the 50
th minute, to put PCT ahead, 3-1.
Scott Goldfeder made it 4-1 in the 60
th minute when he finished
Sean McGroarty's pass, and
Jimmy Friedman found
Garrett Gill in the 73
rd minute.
Inside the box: Penn College outshot Gallaudet, 32-3 (22-2 on-goal) and held a 10-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Sean Creegan stopped one shot in goal to pick up the win.
