MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn College blanked Penn State Brandywine, 5-0, Saturday afternoon in a United East Conference clash. Penn College improved to 4-1 in United East play, 11-1-2 overall. The Lions fell to 2-4 UE, 6-5-1 overall.
With the victory and some help around the field, the Wildcats clinched their fourth-straight United East Playoff berth and earned its ninth postseason trip in the NCAA-era.Â
How it happened: The Wildcats posted its ninth shutout of the season while
Sara Darlington scored her third hat-trick in four games, with goals in the 23rd, 56th, and 76th minute.
Ella Garman also played into the scoring column with goals in the 75th and 84th minutes, respectively.
Inside the box: Garman finished with three points on the day with an assist on Darlington's second goal. The Wildcats' defense held Brandywine to just one shot.Â
