WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College fell 3-0 to Penn State Harrisburg in a United East men's soccer match Saturday at UPMC Field. The Wildcats wrapped up the regular season at 4-2-2 UE, 9-6-2 overall, while the Nittany Lions improved to 7-0-1, 9-6-2.
How it happened: Harrisburg took an early 1-0 lead in the eighth minute and doubled its score in the 16
th minute. The Lions added a late goal in the 79
th. The Wildcats had one quality attempt on goal, but
Cooper Smith's shot in the 66
th minute was saved.
Inside the box: Harrisburg outshot PCT, 9-4 (5-1 on-goal) and held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Justin Crismale turned away two shots in goal for the Wildcats.
Up next: No. 5 seeded Penn College will receive a first round bye in next week's United East playoffs and travel to No. 4 Notre Dame of Maryland Saturday.
