ABINGTON, Pa. – Penn College dropped a 2-0 decision against Penn State Abington in a United East men's soccer match Thursday. The Wildcats fell to 2-1-2 United East, 7-5-2 overall, while the Nittany Lions improved to 3-1, 4-6.
How it happened: Following a scoreless first half, the Lions added a goal in the 51
st minute and an insurance score in the 75
th. Penn College sent two on frame in the second half, but shots from
Sean McGroarty in the 68
th and
Hunter Gabloff were stopped.
Inside the box: Abington outshot PCT, 15-5 (9-3 on-goal) and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Justin Crismale stopped seven shots in goal for the Wildcats.
