WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College shut out Penn State Altoona, 59-0, in an Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) men's wrestling match Thursday evening. The Wildcats improved their dual record to 2-1, 1-0 AMCC. The Lions dropped to 0-6, 0-1 AMCC.
How it happened: Penn College benefitted from seven forfeits to have the match in hand with just three contested matches. Freshman 125-pounder
Harris Keares rolled his opponent to a one-minute tech fall, 15-0. Junior
Daniel Clark earned a first-period pin in 2:39, at 165 pounds, and sophomore 174-pounder
Gavin Gomes stuck his opponent in 4:16.
Up next: Penn College competes against #16 Arcadia, Randolph and Centenary in the Chocolate Duals hosted by Messiah on Saturday, Dec. 20. Action is set to begin at 10 AM against the nationally ranked Knights.Â
