MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Penn College's wrestling team went 1-2 at the Messiah University Chocolate Duals on Saturday, falling to 11th-ranked Arcadia University, 31-15, topping Randolph College, 45-6, and dropping 30-11 to Centenary University, while seeing its record leveled at 3-3.
On the mats: Scoring most of its points in the upper weight classes, sophomore 165-pounder, Carter Davis and sophomore 174-pounder Jason Petroski bumped up to 184, to post 3-0 days, Nic Brotzman was 1-0 at 285, and Gavin Gomes finished 2-1 at 174. Also, Blake Dergham ended 2-1 at 133 after a loss to Arcadia's No. 1 nationally ranked wrestler in the tournament-opening match.
Davis won twice with technical falls and one decision, Petroski tallied a fall, technical fall and a decision, and Brotzman recorded a fall in 1:05 against his Randolph opponent.
