WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College defeated Misericordia, 15-3 in nonconference men's lacrosse action on Saturday to post its second consecutive victory. The Wildcats level their record at 2-2 while dropping the Cougars to 0-4.
How it happened: Penn College jumped on the scoreboard in the first minute when
Will Ehret found
Aidan McFalls for the opening goal.
AJ Dotson and
Brendan Kuczma connected for the second goal at the 11:08 mark while
Elliot Dotson, Kuczma and McFalls scored unassisted. Misericordia scored with 2:49 left in the opening period for a 5-1 score.Â
Both teams scored a man-up goal in the second for the Wildcats to hold a 6-2 lead at the half. The Dotson brothers connected for a goal off the stick of AJ to start a run of five-straight PCT goals spanning the third quarter and 12:13 of the fourth quarter.Â
Elliot polished off his hat-trick with a behind-the-back goal after a feed from AJ with 3:28 left in the game while
Jake Small and
Jesse Weick scored the game's final two goals.Â
Inside the box: The Dotson brothers posted team-high five points in the win. Elliot scored three goals and two assists while AJ posted a pair of goals and three assist. Kuczma, Ehret and McFalls all scored twice.
Ryan Twist posted eight saves in goal while
Andrew Tavarez led the defense with five caused turnovers while
Walt Heiser scooped up six ground balls.Â
