MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Penn College finished 3-3 during its Spring Break trip with game one victories over WPI, Penn State York and Hilbert while all three opponents took their respective game two victories. The Wildcat return home with a 3-6 record this season.

Penn College split its opening series against WPI. The Wildcats won game one, 10-9, with a two-run walk-off single by
Jaiden Augustine. WPI responded with a 10-1 final in game two.
After the Engineers took a 1-0 lead in the first, Penn College gained a 2-1 lead with a Purnell two-run singe to score Nathan Gutkey and Augustine. McGuire Heverly added another run with an RBI single in the third inning. WPI scored one run in the fourth and two in the second before Penn College tied the game at 5-5 on a two-run single off the bat of Goebel and Munoz' two-run triple to right field. In the top of the seventh, WPI put together a four-run burst to regain a 9-7 edge before the Wildcats earned the walk-off victory in the bottom half of the inning.
Kevin Cute led off with a double to left and Goebel singled to put runners on the corner with no outs. Munoz scored Cute with a sac fly to center field and
Dallas Griess singled to set up Augustine's game-ending single to right as Griess raced home to beat the tag.
Augustine went 2-5 at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored.
Levi Purnell,
Shawn Townsend and
Jaydon Goebel also had two hits in the game while
Matt Munoz drove in three RBIs.

The Wildcats earned a, 15-5 game one victory against Penn State York on Tuesday before falling, 11-2 in the second game. Penn College put up five runs in the first inning with RBi singles by Townsend and Goebel while Augustine drove in the first run on a sac fly to left and Munoz drove in two with an single to right. The Wildcats plated six more runs in the fourth inning to lead 11-3 when Augustine roped a two-run double to right field, Gustkey added another run in the inning with an RBI double.

Shawn Townsend with a sac fly.
Augustine had another stellar day at the plate with five RBIs and two runs scored while going 3-for-3. Munoz also drove in three RBIs in a 2-for-4 day.
Ethan Hannevig picked up his first career victory, tossing five strikeouts and scattering seven hits through 5.0 innings.
Penn State York won, 11-2 in game two.

In game one against Hilbert,
Dallas Griess' two-run single, and
Jaiden Augustine's RBI single in the first put ahead, 3-0. Hilbert answered with six-straight run to lead 6-3 after three. The Wildcats answered with five-straight to regain an 8-6 advantage in the middle of the fifth. After Hilbert pulled within two, 8-7, in the bottom of the fifth,
Shawn Townsend doubled in the insurance run in the sixth.
Ty Jenkins paced the offense with three hits, while
Matt Munoz, Griess, and Augustine finished with two hits.
Dennis Prestash fired two innings, allowing one earned, on one hits, with a strikeout and a walk, and improved to 1-0, while
Parker White closed the game to earn a save.
Hilbert earned a 13-3 win in the night-cap.
