WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. Penn College dropped a nonconference doubleheader against Mount Aloysius Monday. The Wildcats fell in the opener, 13-8, and lost the nightcap, 6-1, which snapped a five-game winning streak and dropped PCT to 11-10
In game one,
Penn College scored all of its runs in the second inning to jump out to an early 8-0 lead. Singles from
Brandon Shane,
Jaiden Augustine,
Dallas Griess, and an error made it 4-0, before
Shawn Townsend brought in a pair with a double, and
Matt Munoz drove in two more with a single to center.
MAC scored three in the third, one in the fourth, seven in the fifth, and two in the sixth.
Levi Purnell and
Jaydon Goebel led the offense with three hits each.
In game two,
The Mounties took a 4-0 lead before the Wildcats got on the board with a
Kevin Cute RBI single in the fourth. MAC tacked on two more in the fifth.
Up next: Penn College returns to action Wednesday, 3 p.m., hosting Keystone College.
