LANGHORNE, Pa. — Penn College men's and women's tennis teams split in United East matches at Cairn University on Wednesday, with the men winning 6-1 and the women falling 5-2. Penn College's men are now 2-3 UE, 3-8 overall and Cairn's men are 1-4 UE and overall. Penn College's women are 2-4 UE, 2-11 overall and Cairn's women are 5-2 UE and overall.
How it happened men: The Wildcats won five of six singles and all three doubles matches.
Inside the box men: Singles winners for Penn College were Kyle Shuler at No. 1, John Finnegan at No. 2, Alex Norris at No. 3, Logan Ogden at No. 4 and Seth Priestman at No. 5, and in doubles Norris-Finnegan at No. 1, Ogden-Angel San Juan at No. 2 and Priestman-Matt Williams at No. 3.
How it happened women: Cairn won four singles and two of three doubles matches.
Inside the box women: Singles winners for Penn College were Lauren Peck at No. 2 and Faith Murray at No. 3. Winning in doubles for the Wildcats was the team of Peck-Kayla Weinzierl.
