WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College fell, 7-3 in a United East baseball battle against Penn State Brandywine on Monday afternoon. The Wildcats dropped to 9-4 UE, 16-15 overall. The Lions are 2-11 UE, 6-25.
How it happened: The Lions struck first with a two-run home run in the first inning.

Brandywine plated three runs in the fifth inning before
Levi Purnell belted his third home run of the series to cut the lead, 6-3 in the sixth. The Lions scratched across another run in the seventh and turned down the Wildcats' comeback chances in the eighth and ninth.
Inside the box: Shawn Townsend led the offense with two hits including a double as the Wildcats were held to six hits and left 10 on base.
Up next: Penn College heads to Pitt-Bradford for the final nonconference doubleheader of the season on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
