WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Angie Stackhouse is stepping down as Penn College's Head Softball Coach to accept the same position at her Alma mater, Bucknell University.
"I am very grateful for my time at Penn College and all the special moments I shared with my student-athletes and colleagues over the past six years," Stackhouse said. "I am beyond proud of the success that the softball program achieved during my time as the head coach and I'll always cherish those memories."
Stackhouse spent six years at the helm at Penn College and won two conference championships, finished runner-up twice, and reached the NCAA Tournament three times. In addition to those achievements, the Wildcats accomplished the following in five seasons (the 2020 season was canceled):
- The program's first NCAA Tournament berth
- Five United East playoff appearances
- Won the 2023 ECAC Championship
- Totaled 26 all-conference selections
- 10 all-region selections
- Three United East Pitcher of the Year honorees
Stackhouse finished her tenure at Penn College with a 141-57 record. Her .712 winning percentage is the best in program history, and she reached 100 wins faster than any coach that preceded her.
Stackhouse is uniquely familiar to Bucknell University, having played for four years for the Bison from 2001-04, and earned an All-Patriot League first team selection. Following a stint playing professionally in Sweden, Stackhouse returned to Lewisburg to serve for three years as Bucknell's graduate assistant coach.
