ALFRED, N.Y. -- Penn College women's soccer opened the 2025 season with a 3-0 victory at Alfred University on Friday afternoon. The Wildcats start 1-0 while the Saxons dropped to 0-1.
How it happened:
Olivia Herman scored her first career goal in the 52nd minute to break the scoreless tie.
Olivia Casella and
Ava Bentzel connected for the Wildcats' second goal in the 72nd minute before Casella netted the final tally in the 85th.
Inside the box: Freshman
Taylor Brownback earned the clean sheet victory with two saves in net. Penn College outshot Alfred U., 11-9 (6-2 on goal) and lined up for five corners.
Up next: The Wildcats make another trip to Alfred, N.Y., on Sunday to play Alfred State at 3 p.m.
