2025-26 Men's Golf Season Preview

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College men's golf will hit the links on Sunday and Monday at The Gauntlet in Lewisburg, Pa., to begin its quest for its fourth-straight conference championship. Fourth-year head coach Rob Lytle will need to replace the production of All-American, Peyton Mussina and fellow Wildcat, Will Orwig, but a strong cast of returners in the 2025-26 lineup knows what it takes to stay on top.

Last season: 1st of 9 at United East Championship to three-peat, 41st at NCAA Division III Nationals.

Coach: Rob Lytle, fourth season, three-time UE Coach of the Year.

Top returnees: (last spring regular-season scoring averages) Senior Gunner Redmond, of Lock Haven (78.7); junior Brady Handy, of Huntingdon (82); junior Logan Gawlinski, of Kittanning (83.5).

Key losses: Peyton Mussina (75.5), Will Orwig (79.1).

Outlook: Replacing graduated Mussina and Orwig, leaders of the team for the last several seasons and UE first-teamers a year ago, will be a tall order, but the Wildcats will count on returning UE first-teamer Redmond and third-teamers Handy and Gawlinski for continued success.

Inside the UE: Penn College will seek its fourth straight championship during the spring season with eight other teams competing.
