LEWISBURG, Pa. — Penn College's men's golf team placed 13th among 15 teams in its fall season-opener at The Gauntlet at Bucknell Golf Club on Sunday and Monday.
How it happened: The Wildcats had rounds of 307 on Sunday and 316 on Monday over the par 70, 6,224-yard course for a 623 total.
Inside the box: Gunner Redmond shot 75-77—152 and tied for 29th to lead the team, while freshman Chase Dillman shot 76-78—154 and tied for 39th, Brett Keenan shot 79-81—160 and tied for 58th, Logan Gawlinski shot 77-87—164 and tied for 69th, and Brady Handy shot 86-80—166 and tied for 72nd in a 75-player field.
The field: Drew University, with medalist Elliot Parker putting together consecutive rounds of 66 for a 132 total, took top team honors with a 287-285—572. Following were Farmingdale State 291-286—577, Franklin and Marshall 290-290—580, McDaniel College 299-283—582, Mount Aloysius 299-296—595, Washington and Jefferson 304-298—602, Bloomsburg 298-307—605, SUNY Oswego 300-307—607, York College 299-308—607, Stevens Institute 310-298— 608, Dickinson 307-304—611, Goucher 312-301—613, Penn College 307-316—623, SUNY Delhi 315-309—624, and Ursinus 315-317—632.
