WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College played to a 1-1 draw against Ramapo in a nonconference women's soccer match Wednesday at UPMC Field. The Wildcats improved to 7-0-2, while the Roadrunners improved to 3-2-2.
How it happened: Ramapo got on the board first in the 12
th minute before
Sara Darlington netted the equalizer in the 41
st minute. A handball in the box on the Roadrunners awarded Darlington a penalty kick and the senior converted the attempt for her third goal this season.
Ramapo had two quality shots on frame in the second half, but
Taylor Brownback turned away a direct kick with a punch save in the 59
th minute and stopped a point-blank header in the 88
th minute.
Inside the box: Penn College outshot Ramapo, 12-9 (9-4 on-goal), while the Roadrunners held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
Taylor Brownback turned away three shots in goal for PCT.
