LEBANON, Pa. — Penn College's men's cross-country team, led by Ben Causak, finished 12th in a 15-team field with 280 points and the Penn College women, led by Elaina Brady, were 14th in an 18-team field with 424 points at the season-opening Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen Invitational on Saturday.
Penn College men 8K: Causak finished 44th in a field of 181 runners with a time of 28:32. Also, Mitchell Campbell was 78th in 29:49, Holden Furey was 83rd in 29:53, Chase Ebeling was 86th in 30:06, Jacob Parker was 91st in 30:28, Aaron Guerrisky was 99th in 30:47, Ethan Knapp was 121st in 31:58, Oliver Galicki was 123rd in 32:04, Ben Heym was 150th in 35:30, Owen Troop was 153rd in 36:18, Nathan Love was 156th in 36:44, Jackson Small was 159th in 37:14 and Matthew Wheeland was 161st in 37:46. Scores for the first five count toward the team total.
Men's field: Navy won the team crown with 24 points and had the top individual in Trevor Hayes, who finished in 25:13.
Penn College women 5K: Brady placed 111th in a field of 191 runners with a time of 23:08. Also, Ellie Miller was 127th in 24:14, Natalie Greiner was 149th in 26:19, Gwynn Johnson was 161st in 27:58, Adelyn McDermott was 162nd in 28:26 and Isabella Telford was 183rd in 36:52. Scores for the top five count toward the team total.
Women's field: Navy took the team title with 23 points and had the top individual in Jane Phillips, who finished in 18:06.
