ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. -- Penn College wrestlers captured one first, one second, one fourth and one fifth, and scored 75.5 points to place seventh in a nine-team field at the Elizabethtown D. Kenneth Ober Memorial Invitational on Saturday.
On the mats:Â Kaden Ware posted a 4-0 day to claim the 141-pound championship, knocking off Division II Shippensburg's Cole Coffin by a 10-2 major decision in the semifinals and Eastern's Region 3 fourth-ranked Ryan Mansueto, 17-6 for gold.
Nic Brotzman went 2-1 on the day for his runner-up finish at 285, Brett Patton was 3-2 in his matches and earned fourth-place at 157, and Gavin Gomes finished 4-2 to take fifth at 174.
The field:Â McDaniel topped the field with 151 points. Following were Elizabethtown 147.5, Messiah 126.5, Stevens Tech 116.5, Shippensburg 107, Eastern 99.5, Penn College, Delaware Valley 72.5, and York 60.
