WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Ryan Trimber placed second, and Penn College wrestlers claimed two fourth-place and one fifth-place to finish seventh among nine teams at the Rennie Rodarmel Allstate Invitational at Lycoming College on Sunday.
On the mats: Wrestling at 141 pounds, Trimber won his first two matches on falls before dropping a major decision in his finale. Also for the Wildcats, Justin Adams went 2-1 at 125 and then took a medical forfeit in his last bout to place fourth, Tyler Prince opened with a win by pin and then lost twice to place fourth at 197, and Chase Shaner opened with a loss before winning his next four bouts, the last two with falls, to place fifth at 141. The only other Penn College wrestler posting a win was Cavin Napoletano, who went 1-2 at 157.
The field: Host Lycoming captured the team title with 156.5 points. Following were Misericordia 110.5, Scranton 96.5, King's 80, Pitt-Bradford 74.5, Utica 59.5, Penn College 41, Muhlenberg 26, and Keystone 24.5.
