WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College was edged, 85-80, by Rosemont College in a United East men's basketball game Tuesday. The Wildcats fell to 3-9 UE, 4-19 overall, while the Ravens improved to 3-9, 4-16.
How it happened: Trailing 45-41 at halftime, and 50-45 early in the second, Penn College used an 8-0 run to take a 53-50 lead on
Cydae Joseph-Davis layup with 16:48 left in the game. After the Ravens pulled with one,
Peyton Murphy drained two threes, and
Octavio Alexander finished a layup, to give PCT its largest lead, 61-52, with 14:08 on the clock.
Rosemont rallied to tie the game at 61-61 four minutes later before five more deadlocks in the ensuing nine minutes of the game. Tied at 75, with 3:41 left in the contest, Rosemont outpaced the Wildcats 10-5 in the remaining minutes of the game.
Inside the box: Murphy led the Wildcats with 17 points, while Alexander added 14 and a team-best seven rebounds.
Landon Reeder added 13 for PCT, Joseph-Davis finished with 12, and
Jay Henry contributed 10 points.
