Mia Patterson (Williamsport, Pa.) earned her second career academic honor while sophomores
Kayla Herzer (Brick, N.J.),
Gigi Parlante (Williamsport, Pa) and
Breana Valentine (Fairfield, Pa.) earned their first award in their first season of eligibility. PCT also earned four selections following the 2023-24 season.
Student-athletes selected to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team must be at least a sophomore or above, maintain a 3.50 GPA or higher and have competed in 90% of the institution's contests or have started in 66% of the contests during the season.
Patterson became just the third two-time academic all-district selection for the Wildcats' women's basketball program as the 4.00 GPA Nursing major also won the United East Elite 21 Academic Award. Patterson averaged 26.8 minutes with 27 appearances and 26 starts. The senior forward scored 241 points (8.9 ppg), grabbed 137 rebounds (5.1 rpg) and added 54 assists, 35 steals and 16 blocks for the Wildcats this season.
An All-Conference First Team selection,
Gigi Parlante led the Wildcats with 434 points (16.7 ppg), 238 rebounds (9.2 rpg) and 31 blocks while finishing second on the team with 70 assists and 55 steals. Parlante also maintained a 4.00 GPA in the classroom as a Human Services & Restorative Justice major.
Herzer earned her first academic award as the Wildcats' sixth-woman appeared in 500 minutes across all 27 games. She tallied 196 points (7.3 ppg) and grabbed 169 rebounds (6.3 rpg) while adding 48 assists, 51 steals and six blocks on the season. The 4.00 Architecture & Sustainable Design major also picked up All-Conference Third Team consideration for her efforts this season.
Valentine, a 4.00 Pre-Dental Hygiene student, also earned All-Conference Second Team honors as the Wildcats' second-leading scorer. She finished the season with 313 points (12.0 ppg), while also grabbing 148 rebounds (5.7) and dishing out a team-high 116 assists in her first season wearing a Wildcat uniform.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on April 15.
