BROCKPORT, N.Y. -- Penn College defeated SUNY Brockport, 19-11, in the final nonconference men's lacrosse game of the season on Friday afternoon. The Wildcats improved to 11-4 while the Golden Eagles dropped to 2-12.
How it happened:
Owen Kupsey wasted no time to score a hat-trick in just one minute and 14 seconds.
Quinn Smith scored twice while Kupsey and
AJ Dotson netted goals late in the first quarter to take a 7-4 lead.
PCT held a 6-1 advantage through the second quarter as the Dotson brothers connected for an Elliot goal to lead 13-5 just before halftime. The Wildcats added three more goals in each of the third and fourth quarter to claim the victory.
Inside the box: AJ Dotson led the attack with a team-best seven points while
Elliot Dotson, Kupsey and Ehret all finished with six points. Kupsey netted a team-high five goals.
Antonio Santora went 11-for-19 in facceoff attempts.
Ryan Twist (10) and
Alex Hammond (4) combined for 14 saves in the win.
