WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College knocked off Cairn University, 25-8, in a United East men's lacrosse contest Saturday. The Wildcats improved to 1-1 UE, 12-4 overall, while the Highlanders fell to 0-3, 2-8.
How it happened: Penn College led 5-2 after the first and 13-2 at halftime. The Wildcats outscored Cairn, 6-2, in the third and 6-4 in the final quarter.
Inside the box:
Roman DeCenzo led PCT with five goals, Elliott Dotson and
Owen Kupsey both added both and
AJ Dotson netted a pair, including the 100
th goal of his career. The Dotson brothers both dished out four assists, while
Gavin Selchert had three helpers and
Tyler Diffenderfer and
Chase Kaplan both finished with two assists.
Alex Hammond turned away four shots in goal to pick up his first win of the season.
