WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Penn College defeated Pitt.-Bradford, 4-2, in nonconference men's soccer action on Tuesday afternoon. The Wildcats scored three times in the first half and put 10 of their 17 shots on goal, while
Owen Ragula recorded 10 saves. PCT moved to 3-2-1 overall. Pitt.-Bradford is 1-4-0 overall.
How it happened: The Wildcats opened the first half with
Warrick Beachy's goal off
Diego Diaz's assist at 9:01, then added goals from
Andrew Mathes and
Jimmy Friedman to build a 3-0 lead. Ragula made five saves, including three after Friedman's goal, as PCT took the 3-0 advantage into halftime.
The Panthers, cut the margin to 3-2 at 72:18 before
Christian Bressler scored at 85:31 to extend the Wildcats' lead to 4-2 late in the second half. Ragula made four second-half saves as PCT finished the match with a 4-2 win.
Inside the box: Friedman converted his lone shot for the game-winning goal. Diaz recorded two assists and added three shots, including one on goal.
Owen Ragula made 10 saves over 90 minutes, with five saves in each half. Beachy scored the first goal and put his only shot on frame.
Andrew Mangold scored twice on two shots, putting both attempts on goal. Bailee Verdill led Pitt.-Bradford with four shots, all on goal. Dante Coletti recorded an assist and added three shots, including two on goal. Chris House made six saves over 90 minutes in goal.
