LEBANON, Pa. — Penn College's cross country runners got their season underway at the Lebanon Valley Dutchman Invitational on Saturday as the Wildcats men's team placed sixth with 216 points on the 8K course.
Logan Bohrer led the team with a 28th-place finish in a time of 28:34.7, while
Kate Butzler led the Wildcats women individually with a 49th-place finish and a time of 22:10.4 in the 5K race.
Following Bohrer was
Chase Ebeling in 36th at 28:56.7 and
Bryce Martin in 39th at 29:00.9.
Lebanon Valley claimed the top finish in a field of 15 teams running in the men's race with a total time of 2:13.41 and 40 points and were followed by Susquehanna (72 pts.), Eastern (118), Penn State Berks (174) and St. Mary's College (MD) (183).
Finishing behind Butzler for the women's team were
Elaina Brady (62nd) in 22:44.5, and
Adelyn McDermott (95th) in 25:34.0. Maya Carey of Hood University earned the top finish of the women's field in 19:19.6.
Millersville took the top spot in the field of 14 scoring teams in the women's race with a total time of 1:38.22 and 24 points, followed by Lebanon Valley (91 pts.), McDaniel (94), Susquehanna (102) and Eastern (126) to round out the top five.
