WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Penn College defeated Elmira 2-1 Saturday at UPMC Field. The Wildcats scored once in each half and finished with 11 shots, putting five on goal. The Wildcats improved to 2-0-0 overall. Elmira is 0-2-0 overall.
How it happened: Megan Kurian scored from
Ella Garman's assist in the 28th minute to put the Wildcats on the board first and held the 1-0 lead into the half.
Camryn Lobb scored off Kurian's assist at 76:25 to extend the Wildcats' lead to 2-0 in the second half and Elmira closed out the match with a goal just before the horn for the 2-1 finish.
Inside the box: Kurianetted her fourth goal of the season and added an assist. Lobb scored the game-winning goal on her lone shot attempt while
Harley Oliphant made four saves in goal.
Brooke Wilcox scored Elmira's goal and finished with three shots, including two on goal. Amy Ferrier recorded an assist and put her lone shot on goal. Bella Thomas added two shots, both on goal. Sarah Cantrell played all 90 minutes in goal and made three saves.
