Colleen Bowes made nine saves as the Pennsylvania College of Technology women's soccer team lost in overtime 1-0 to Lancaster Bible College. The Lady Wildcats were outshot 27-5 in the match but Bowes along with the defense of sophomore
Jordan Courter (Mill Hall) and freshman
Emily Bell (Jersey Shore) were able to keep the game scoreless in regulation. The Chargers' Emily Beltran scored the game winner 10 minutes into overtime. With the loss, Penn College is now 4-10 overall and 3-6 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
Lancaster Bible (9-4, 6-2 NEAC) was strong in the first half totaling 13 shots and not allowing any from the Lady Wildcats. Bowes made seven saves to keep it tied. She made one more save in the second half sending it into overtime.
Bell's goal in extra time came off a broken play as Alyssa Wesner made a strong through pass for her to net.
Next up, Penn College travels to Carlow University on Friday, Oct. 17 for a 7 p.m. match.
