Box Score WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – All five Penn College starters reached double digits in scoring to lead the Wildcats to an 85-47 win over Wilson College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Saturday. Penn College improved to 2-3 overall, 1-1 NEAC, while the Phoenix fell to 1-3, 0-1.
Alicia Ross scored a game-high 18 points for the Wildcats, dished out four assists and picked up four steals.
Charese Bova tallied her fourth double-double of the season with 15 points and a game-best 21 rebounds.
Jamie Steer added 17 points for Penn College, while
Danielle Mowery and
Hannah Schoenly each added 11.
Teniera Prioleau scored a team-high 13 points for Wilson, Miranda Long added 10 and Morgan Wonders pulled down 16 boards.
Penn College opened the game with 12-straight points, led by Steer's five, to lead 12-0 early in the contest. The Wildcats built a 20-point lead, 39-19, after a pair of Ross free throws with 4:36 left in the half and finished the first with a 10-2 scoring run to lead 49-21 at halftime.
The Wildcats led by as many as 39 points in the second half and their lead never dipped below 25 points.
Penn College returns to action Friday, 5 p.m., at Penn State-Berks.
