Hector Guerrero (Mexico City, Mexico), the Pennsylvania College of Technology upset Morrisville State 2-1 Saturday. The Mustangs came into the match undefeated in conference play. Sophomore
Douglas Binnie (Charlton, Mass) and freshman
Jared Daku (Danville) each scored a goal in the win. The Wildcats now improve to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
Penn College's goals came early in the first half with Binnie opening the game in the 11
th heading a cross from junior
Ronald Garcia (Brentwood, N.Y.). Daku did the same in the 18
th off a cross from freshman
Quinton Burgess (Burlington, N.J.) to give the team a 2-0 lead.
Morrisville State went on to outshoot the Wildcats 11-7 in the period. Guerrero made two saves in the half.
The Mustangs were strong in the second totaling 27 shots. Guerrero was on point though making 10 saves. Jose Figueroa was able to break up the shutout taking a rebound off Guerrero in the 75
th to cut the lead in half.
The win was the first in NEAC play for the Wildcats.
