Valeria Passalacqua (McAlisterville) notched two goals for the Lady Wildcats while sophomore keeper
Colleen Bowes (Wayne) stopped seven shots. With the loss, Penn College is now 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.
Passalacqua opened the scoring in the 15
th taking a give and go pass from freshman
Hanna Williams (Marion, N.Y.). Cazenovia (4-3, 2-3 NEAC) equalized in the 18
th when Kaitlyn Lyon chipped a ball over Bowes. Brianna Bailey made it 2-1 in her team's favor beating the defense in the 40
th.
The scoring looked to be done in the first half, but Passalacqua took a pass from sophomore
Lindsey Bradshaw (Bristow, Va.) in the 45
th to tie at the buzzer.
In the half, the Lady Wildcats outshot Cazenovia 10-16.
Junior
Robyn Beddow (Lancaster) netted a cross from Bradshaw in the 49
th to put the Lady Wildcats up 3-2, but goals from Emily Graham in the 62
nd and 71
st dashed any hopes for a Penn College win.
As a team, the Lady Wildcats outshot Cazenovia 27-17.
Next up, Penn College hosts Keuka College on Saturday, Sept. 20 for a 1 p.m. match.
