Men’s Soccer: Wildcats Suffer Second Straight Defeat in OT

Box Score COBLESKILL, N.Y. – In as many days, the Pennsylvania College of Technology men's soccer team lost a 2-1 game in overtime, this time to SUNY Cobleskill Sunday.  The game was tied 1-1 after the first half and a scoreless second sent it into overtime.  Down a player due to a red card, Cobleskill was able to score in the 9th minute of extra time.  Junior keeper Hector Guerrero (Mexico City, Mexico) made two saves in the loss as Penn College falls to 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

Penn College dominated the game totaling 19 shots to the Fighting Tigers' six.  Freshman Jalen Washington (Washington, D.C.) scored the opening goal of the game in the fifth taking a throw-in from junior Luke McFalls (New Oxford).

The Wildcats held the lead until the 29th when Cobleskill's (2-2, 1-0 NEAC) David Vosatka equalized off a cross from Tyler Condame.

After a scoreless second half where Penn College outshot its opponent 7-2, the game went into overtime.  Sophomore John Michael Sabga (Diego Martin, Trinidad) received his second yellow card of the game to put the team down a man in the 94th.  Just five minutes later, Jared Gallup scored the game winner off a cross from Vosatka.

This is the third overtime match for the Wildcats who are now 1-2 in extra time games.
