Box Score CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – Penn College sophomore
Alicia Ross scored a career-high 29 points to lead the Wildcats to an 87-36 win over Wilson College in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball game Sunday. Penn College improved to 4-2 NEAC, 5-5 overall, while the Phoenix dropped to 0-5, 1-7.
Ross was nearly perfect in the game, shooting 11 of 12 from the field and 7 of 8 from the line to reach double-digits in scoring for the ninth time this season.
Charese Bova picked up her eighth double-double this season with 12 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for the Wildcats.
Danielle Mowery added 10 points and
Jamie Steer finished with nine points and 11 rebounds.
Morgan Wonders led Wilson with nine points.
Penn College led from the jump and was ahead 49-21 at halftime. The Wildcats outrebounded the Phoenix 60-37, while their 14 offensive rebounds resulted in 14 second-chance points and they converted 42 Wilson turnovers into 39 points.
The Wildcats return to action Tuesday, 6 p.m., hosting Penn State-Abington.
