Box Score 2 MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Penn College dropped a pair of non-conference softball games Monday in Myrtle Beach. The Wildcats fell to Iowa Wesleyan 13-7 before being edged by Dickinson 2-1. Penn College dropped to 0-4 this season.
In Game One,
Penn College spread out seven run in four separate innings and finished the game with 11 hits and just one error. Iowa exploded in the third and fourth innings with six runs in each frame.
Sarah Schick, Jessica Gmerick and
Katie Kratzer all went 2 for 4 at the plate.
Stephanie Kramer pitched two and a third innings, giving up five runs and four and two walks.
Arika Stopper fired four a third innings, surrendering eight runs on 10 hits and four walks.
In Game Two,
Penn College starter
Shelby Lyter threw a no-hitter through the first five innings behind a first inning 1-0 lead. Dickinson drove in two runs in the bottom of the sixth to edge the Wildcats.
