DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Penn College earned its first victory this season with a 7-2 win over Bryn Athyn in a North Eastern Athletic Conference women's tennis meet Friday. The Wildcats improved to 1-6, while the Lions fell to 0-3.
Penn College swept the doubles competition with wins from
Melissa Stabley and
Morgan Blackwell,
Erin Jacob and
Rachel Walker and
Rachel Gordon and Domique Odom to lead 3-0.
Stabley and
Morgan Blackwell won the No. 1 and No. 2 singles for the Wildcats before Bryn Athyn took the third singles match. Gordon and Walker followed with wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles and the Lions won the final singles match.
Penn College returns to action Saturday at Penn State Abington.
