READING/LANCASTER, Pa. – Penn College split a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference meets against Lancaster Bible College and Penn State Berks Saturday. The Wildcats fell to Berks 8-1, before heading back to Lancaster Bible to complete Friday's suspended match, which they won 7-2.
Penn College improved to 2-6 overall, 2-1 NEAC.
Against Penn State Berks,
Melissa Stabley picked up Penn College's lone win in No. 1 singles, 6-4, 0-6, 11-9.
Against Lancaster Bible,
Penn College led 3-0 after sweeping the doubles competition.
Stabley and
Morgan Blackwell teamed up to win No. 1 doubles and
Megan Barlett and
Jane Herman won No. 2 doubles. Penn College received a forfeit in No. 3 doubles.
Stabley won No. 1 singles, Herman took No. 4 and
Erin Jacob won No. 5. Penn College received a forfeit in No. 6 singles.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 12 p.m., hosting Bryn Athyn.
