Wildcats Drop Two to Keuka; Women Fall to Wells


NEW YORK – Penn College lost a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference women's tennis matches to Keuka College (5-4) and Wells College (7-2), while the men dropped an 8-1 decision to Keuka Friday and Saturday.

The Keuka match began Friday and was completed Saturday after rain and darkness postponed Friday's meet.

The women wrapped up the regular season at 3-4 NEAC, 3-10 overall, while the men finished at 1-4, 2-10.

Against Keuka,
Melissa Stabley and Carolyn Krasley teamed up to win No. 1 doubles, before the Wolfpack won No. 2 and No. 3.

Krasley earned a 6-1, 6-0 win in No. 2 singles, Morgan Blackwell picked up a 6-3, 6-3 victory in No. 4 and Jane Herman earned a 6-4, 6-3 decision in No. 5 singles for the Wildcats.

Andrew Welsh earned Penn College's lone win in No. 4 singles with a 7-5, 6-3, 1-0 win. The Wildcats had competitive matches in double competition before falling 9-7 in both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles – with Christopher Morrin and Ethan Rosler playing No. 1 and Nick Rausch and Andrew Welsh playing No. 2.

Against Wells,
Krasley earned a 6-2, 6-3 win in No. 2 singles and Herman picked up a 6-4, 3-6, 10-4 win in No. 5 singles.
