PINE VALLEY, N.Y. – Penn College opened its season with a 9-0 setback to Elmira College in a non-conference women's tennis match Saturday. The Wildcats fell to 0-1, while the Eagles improved to 1-0.
Taylor Krow had the most competitive match in No. 5 singles for Penn College. After dropping the first set 6-0, she battled to win three games in the second set before falling 6-3. Krow later teamed with
Taylor Brooks in No. 3 doubles, winning three games before falling 8-3.
Penn College returns to action Saturday, 1 p.m., hosting Arcadia.
