Box Score Williamsport, PA – Penn College took the filed Tuesday for a pair of North East Athletic Conference games vs The Bison of Gallaudet. The Wildcats swept the series taking the first game 7-0 and the second game 8-1. The wins move Penn Colleges record to 17-7 overall and 8-2 in the conference.
In Game One,
A strong outing by
Max Bair lead the Wildcats to a 7-0 victory over the visiting Bison of Gallaudet. Bair was impressive on bump all game throwing a seven inning complete game one hitter. Bair lost his bid at a perfect game in the sixth and his bid at a no hitter in the seventh. Offensively Penn College used a pair of three run innings to give Bair all the support he needed.
Penn College wasted no time putting runs on the board, scoring three in the first inning.
Nathaniel Lowe led the game off with a single and advanced to third on a two base error.
Cody Cline followed Lowe's single with an RBI double to drive in the game first run. Two batters latter
Brittan Kittle drove Cline in with a double to left.
Richard Lennon knocked in the third Wildcat run of the inning with a single to right.
Penn College would tack on another run in the second when
Dylan Scaringi scored on an error by the Bison.
Brittan Kittle got the Wildcat offense started in the fifth with a leadoff double.
Evan Vigna would follow Kittles double with a base hit of his own.
Richard Lennon drove both Vigna and Kittle in with a double to left. Lennon would score the final Penn College run of the game when Lowe was hit by a pitch.
Richard Lennon led the Wildcats with three RBIs.
Brittan Kittle also had a solid day at the dish reaching base in all three of his at bats. Kittle had two doubles, two RBIs and a walk on the day.
In Game Two,
Game two was more of the same for Penn College. The Wildcats used another strong outing from their starting pitcher to cruise to a 8-1 victory in the nightcap. This time it was Brad Walter pitching a complete game. Walter gave up only one run of four hits while striking out four.
Much like the first game Penn College jump on the Bison early. The Wildcats scored six runs in the first two innings, including five in the second.
Nathaniel Lowe got the game going for the Wildcats with a leadoff triple.
Ben Flicker followed that up with a triple of his own to score Lowe. The top of the lineup struck again in the second inning with the one through four hitters all picking up hits during the frame. The big hit of the inning was another triple off the bat of Flicker.
After the early offensive explosion the Wildcats coasted to victory. Scoring single runs in the fourth and eight innings.

Penn College will return to action Thursday, at Kings College at 4 PM.
