WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College fell to Penn State Berks in a North Eastern Athletic Conference men's and women's tennis meet Saturday. The men fell 6-2, while the women dropped a 7-1 decision. The Wildcats' men dropped 0-1 NEAC, 0-6 overall, while the women fell to 0-1, 0-8.
In the women's meet,
Jane Herman earned Penn College's lone win with a 7-5, 6-1 win in No. 3 singles.
Melissa Stabley battled in No. 1 singles before dropping a 6-2, 7-6 (9-1) decision. Stabley teamed with
Morgan Blackwell in a competitive No. 1 double match in an 8-4 setback.
In the men's meet,
Penn College's two point came via forfeit at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.
The Wildcats won one set in singles, while
Ethan Rosler and
Andrew Francisco had the most competitive match in No. 2 singles before falling 8-5.
Penn College returns to action Sunday, 12 p.m., hosting Lancaster Bible.
