CLARKS SUMMIT, Pa. – Penn College junior
Emily Bell (Jersey Shore, Pa.) highlighted Penn College's showing at the North Eastern Athletic Conference women's tennis championship Thursday-Friday at the Birchwood Tennis Club.
Bell earned a Third Team All-Conference selection at No. 4 singles.
Bell dropped her first match to Violet Tran, of Penn State Berks, in the first round, before knocking off Lancaster Bible's Sarah Wetzel, 8-5, in the consolation.
Amber Janelli competed at No. 3 singles for Penn College and dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision to Abington's Marta Tymchenko in the first round, and Lancaster Bible's Michaela Dearborn, 8-2.
Bell and
Hanna Williams teamed up in No. 2 doubles for Penn College. The duo lost to Berks' Tran and Alyssa Miller, 8-0, and Bible's Sarah Wetzel and Lynndath Thelemaque.
