WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College snapped a five-game losing skid with a 70-55 win over Wilson College in a non-conference women's basketball game Sunday. The Wildcats improved to 4-11, while the Phoenix fell to 2-13.
How it Happened: Penn College jumped out to a 10-3 lead and led 19-8 at the end of the first quarter. The Wildcats took its largest lead, 29-13, on an
Olivia Johnson three with 4:26 before halftime and took a 36-24 advantage into the break.
Penn College maintained a double-digit lead for half of the third quarter before Wilson put together a 7-0 run to get within six, 45-39, with 2:11 on the clock, but the Wildcats led 49-41 at the end of the period. PCT led by double figures for most of the fourth, with Wilson pulling as close as seven, 61-54, with 3:03 left in the game.
Inside the Box:
Cassi Kuhns and
Ja'Quela Dyer both recorded with double-doubles for Penn College. Kuhns finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Dyer had 10 points and game-high 15 rebounds.
Madison Klock scored a game-high 18 points for the Wildcats,
Lydia Albert added 11, and Johnson hit three threes for nine points.
Jordyn Day scored 16 points for Wilson.

Britni Mohney said. "We worked the ball to get better shots within our offense. A huge factor in this win was
Olivia Johnson. We have a powerful presence from inside the arc, but we've been missing a threat from beyond. The defense had to decide which factor to take away, which produced our team chemistry.
