Penn College runners compete in Mid-Atlantic regionals

NEWVILLE, Pa. — In season-ending races on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region Cross-Country Championships, the Penn College men placed 27th and the women 30th. Individually for the Wildcats, Alec Rees was 149th for the men and Cinnamon Digan was 190th for the women.

Penn College runners: Rees completed the 8K men's course in 30:58.2, while Dean Fulton was 154th in 31:18.8, Nick Snow was 184th in 32:58.1, Will Deem was 202nd in 35:10.2 and Chad Bomboy was 213th in 36:46.0.

Digan ran the 6K women's course in 30:40.8, while Taylor Schon was 198th in 31:42.8, Teagan Willey was 199th in 31:43.0, Kristina Mease was 204th in 32:59.9 and Charlee Marshall was 209th in 35:49.7.

The field: Carnegie Mellon took the men's title in a 31-team field with 30 points, while Dickinson College's Christopher Scharf was the winner in a 222-runner field with a time of 25:51.6.

In women's action, Johns Hopkins won the crown in a 31-team field with 20 points, while Dickinson's Isabel Cardi was the top finisher in a 216-runner field with a time of 22:13.0.
