Box Score 1 WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Penn College won a pair of North Eastern Athletic Conference softball games against Wells College Wednesday. The Wildcats needed five innings for a 34-0 win in game one, while the Express forfeited game two to help Penn College improve to 9-1.
How it Happened: Penn College scored five in the first, nine in the second, 18 in the third, and two in fourth inning and held Wells to three hits.
The Wildcats played all 18 players and were relatively passive on the bases.
Inside the Box:
Maddie Hurst led the Wildcats with five hits – including two doubles,
Lesley Fritz and
Shayla Bickel recorded three hit apiece, while
Olivia Hemstock,
Ivvy Morder (two doubles), and
Gillian Sinnott each picked up a pair of hits.
Bickel, who also had a triple, brought in a team-best seven runs.
Kyla Benner improved to 5-0 with her shutout of the season. She scattered three hits, struck out three and walk none.
