MOUNT WOLF, Pa. — Penn College closed out its fall golf season with a third-place finish 644 in the eight-team York College Spartan Shootout at the Royal Manchester Golf Links on Sunday and Monday. Individually, Gunner Redmond placed sixth among 45 players with a 154.
How it happened: The Wildcats posted a 317 on Sunday on the par-72, 6,961-yard course and stood in third place, three strokes behind York and Goucher, who were tied for the lead. Leading the way were Redmond and Chase Dillman, who were tied for second after opening-round 77s that had them three shots out of first.
Inside the box: Redmond closed with another 77 on Monday and his 154 total was one shot out of a tie for third and four strokes behind the medalists. Also for Penn College, Dillman shot 77-80—157 for ninth, Brady Handy shot 83-80—163 and tied for 21st, Logan Gawlinski shot 81-90—171 for 37th, and Brett Keenan shot 82-93—175 for 43rd.

Sharing medalist honors were Goucher's Tyler Lynch (74-76—150) and York's Alex Kaun (77-73—150).
